Rooted in the history of the Edo and Meiji eras, this eco-friendly Himitsu-Bako is a testament to authentic Japanese craftsmanship. Master Hiroyuki Oka, with over 30 years of woodworking experience, personally crafts, inspects, and tests every single box in his workshop. This dedication ensures that each mechanical part moves with flawless smoothness.
This 3 Sun secret box offers a highly rewarding tactile experience. The clever mechanism involves 3 moving panels and 2 sliding keys. It requires exactly 12 precise sequential movements to outsmart the puzzle and reveal the hidden compartment inside.
The design of this box is an elegant fusion of different woods. The side panels are constructed from rich North American walnut wood, while the top and bottom showcase the intricate beauty of traditional Yosegi-zaiku marquetry. Because the marquetry patterns are applied by hand, the designs on the top and bottom panels are completely unique to each box.
