Rooted in the traditions of the Edo and Meiji eras, this Himitsu-Bako is a genuine piece of Japanese artistry. Master Hiroyuki Oka, boasting over two decades of expertise, personally crafts, inspects, and tests every box in his workshop. His dedication to eco-friendly practices and traditional techniques ensures a smooth, flawless mechanical movement in every piece.
The visual appeal of this secret box is striking. The striped patterns on the top and bottom panels are created using six different varieties of wood. Every hue you see is 100% natural, with absolutely no artificial coloring applied. These sliced wood sheets are carefully glued onto durable MDF boards, while the side panels are wrapped in the classic Yosegi checkered pattern, known as "Ichimatsu."
This 4 Sun puzzle box houses a complex hidden mechanism consisting of 3 moving panels and 2 sliding keys. It requires a precise sequence of 14 steps to unlock the secret compartment inside, offering a deeply satisfying challenge for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
