This beautiful piece is a carefully vetted second-hand item in "like new" condition. Released in March 2024 by the Karakuri Creation Group, it is a brilliant remake of Tatsuo Miyamoto's original "Fortune Cards" (MY-8). Listening to collectors, the craftsmen increased the size of this version. The enlarged internal compartment is now perfectly proportioned to hold a standard deck of playing cards.

The Symbolism of the Spade

A beautiful spade emblem is inlaid on the top panel. This design choice presents a subtle paradox: while one might naturally associate "fortune" and luck with a heart symbol, the craftsman deliberately chose the spade. This playful contradiction adds a layer of mystery to the piece's character.

The mechanism guarding your cards relies on a smooth, simple motion rather than a long sequence of steps. Crafted from a harmonious blend of maple, magnolia, chanchin, and walnut woods, it offers a satisfying tactile experience. It is the perfect interactive centerpiece for your game nights.
