A captivating mechanical challenge crafted by Osamu Kasho under the theme of "JAPAN". This box requires you to look past a deceptive visual pattern to unlock a completely flush, handle-less drawer.
Note: This pre-owned item is in absolutely perfect condition and comes complete with its original box and solution sheet.
The top of this puzzle box features a striking, colorful pattern composed of tricolor wooden triangles. At first glance, it appears beautifully symmetrical. However, this is a deliberate visual trick by Osamu Kasho. If you look closely, the pattern is slightly unbalanced. Recognizing this hidden asymmetry is the crucial first step to unraveling the internal gimmicks.
The box's title comes to life during the solving process. If you can figure out how to make the first three moves on the top panel, the triangles will shift to form a new shape associated with a Ninja. This is not just a cool visual effect; the shape itself provides the ultimate hint on how to proceed. The craftsman's signature "kash kash" is proudly stamped on the bottom.
The Handle-Less Drawer
The final hurdle is opening the front drawer. It sits completely flush against the box body with absolutely no knob or edge to pinch. Because the clever internal mechanics take up most of the room, the actual storage space is quite small. As Osamu Kasho suggests, it is the perfect size to hide a secret letter for whoever is clever enough to open it!
